What's up y'all? I hope this Wednesday morning has been treating you well! I wanted to write about self love today. It is the month of love and for those of us who celebrate Valentine's Day, we love to spoil our partner with gifts or a fancy dinner or our children/nieces /nephews with gift baskets. We usually are so quick to think about what we can do for others before we think about, "Hey! How I can love on me more before I love on those closest to me?" Because only than, when we take the time to love on us, can we see from a different lens how we can intentionally love on those we cherish with our whole beings. Here are some ways you can implement self love into your daily lives - if you really want it, you can make the time - YOU ARE WORTH IT!
Practice Self-Care - Engage in activities that nourish your body, mind,and soul, such as skincare, exercise, prayer or meditation.
Set Boundaries - Learn to say no to things that drain you and prioritize your well-being.
Speak Kindly to Yourself - Replace negative self-talk with positive affirmation and self-compassion.
Celebrate Your Achievements - Acknowledge your progress, no matter how big or small.
Engage in Activities You Love - Do things that bring you joy, whether it's reading, painting, or dancing.
Nourish Your Body - Eat well, keep those cells hydrated, and get enough sleep.
Practice Gratitude - Focus on what you can appreciate about yourself and your life.
Surround Yourself with Positivity - Spend time with people who uplift and support you.
Forgive Yourself - Let go of past mistakes and embrace growth.
Give Yourself Permission to Rest - Allow yourself to take breaks without guilt. [My hubby showed me this and it's been such a game changer. It's wild how much a 30 minute nap will do for the soul.]
Treat Yourself - Buy yourself something nice, indulge in a hobby, or enjoy a solo date.
Write Yourself a Love Letter - Express appreciation for who are and how far you've come.
Create a Self-Love Playlist - Listen to music that makes you feel empowered and happy.
Declutter Your Space - A clean and organized environment can boost your mood.
Unplug from Social Media - Take breaks from the world that can lead to comparison and focus on your own journey.
Keep a Journal - Write down your thoughts, feelings, and accomplishments.
Surround Yourself with Inspirational Content - Read books, listen to podcasts, or watch videos that uplift you.
Give Yourself Grace - Recognize that you're human and don't have to be perfect.
